Michalis Kramvis

Michalis heads the Firm’s Corporate Department where he, inter alia, oversees the Firm’s provision of corporate and trustee services. Michalis obtained his LLB from the University of Warwick and his LLM from University College London (UCL). Having successfully completed the Bar Vocational Course, Michalis became a Barrister-at-Law and in 2004 he was also admitted to the Cyprus Bar.

Stella Polyviou

Stella graduated from the University College London in 1977 and has been working with the Firm since 1982. Her extensive legal experience and knowledge have contributed to the rapid and substantial development of the litigation department of the Firm, which is headed by her.

Xenia Kokkinou

•    Drafting Settlement Agreements / DFAS Agreements between  reputable Banks and various reputable Cyprus Companies / Debtors of Banks ,appearing in Cyprus District Courts and other Cyprus Authorites for the execution of these Agreements. 

•    Handling a difficult court action, with complex factual and legal issues, filed against the Bank with a claim of over $40.000.000 – Claim Rejected by the Court.

Thekla Kastoris

•    Acted for one of the largest banks in Cyprus in the granting of a multi-million syndicated bond loan which was given for the purchase of shares of a well-known branded hotel in Nicosia. 

•    Acted as the Cypriot legal counsel for an international group of companies, operating mainly in the field of glass production with respect to a capital restructuring transaction which included the use of an English scheme of arrangement.

Thalia Kaoutzani

•    Appeared before the Supreme Court of Cyprus in numerous cases regarding novel points of law relating to banking matters, as well as personal injury claims.

•    Successfully pursued claims on behalf of Cypriot Banks before the District Court of Nicosia, Larnaca and Limassol involving huge amounts.
 
•    Successfully defended Cypriot Banks in numerous proceedings before the District Court of Nicosia, Larnaca and Limassol regarding a variety of claims including complex matters, the value of which exceeded EUR 10 million.

Panagiotis Makrides

•    Prepared, filed and successfully issued a Writ of Certiorari quashing interim injunctions issued by the District Court prohibiting a Bank from complying with statutory obligations regarding cheques.

•    Successfully represented a client of the Firm in the Supreme Court in an Appeal against a District Court Judgement regarding a claim for damages for wrongfully issuing an interim injunction.
