Chryssafinis and Polyviou LLC is one of the leading and most prestigious firms of Cyprus operating for more than a century. It was established in 1903 by the late N.G. The Senior Partners are Mr. P.G. Polyviou, Barrister-at-Law, formerly fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford, and Lecturer in Law in the University of Oxford and Ms Stella Polyviou, a graduate of University College London, who is in charge, inter alia, of the Firm’s Litigation Department. 

The Firm represents numerous local and international banking institutions, petroleum companies, Cyprus Airways Ltd, Eurocypria Airlines, The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, The Municipality of Nicosia and others. The firm also represents on a regular basis the American Government and British Council in Cyprus.

•  Public International Law Department: Chryssafinis & Polyviou LLC represented both the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the House of Representatives both before National and European courts. Indeed, the late Senior Partner George P. Polyviou,  together with two previous Presidents of the Republic and the first Attorney General of the Republic represented the local community in the negotiations for, and the drafting of, the 1960 Constitution of the Republic. Polis G. Polyviou has on numerous occasions, accompagnied Presidents of the Republic in negotiations regarding the Cyprus Problem.

• The Litigation Department headed by Ms Stella Polyviou, dealing mostly with Banking, Insurance, Employment and other areas of the law.   Our firm is actively involved in daily Litigation  before all Cyprus courts, including the Supreme Court.
